About NEtWORKS PDF Print

ImageNEtWORKS is an informal partnership of Schools, Children’s Centres and other local organisations in the area surrounding Meanwood, Moortown and Chapel Allerton in Inner North East Leeds. This partnership – known as a ‘Cluster’ – is one of 40 Clusters around Leeds. NEtWORKS was originally established in 2005 to support local schools in developing an extended range of services to their pupils and families in line with the Government’s ‘Extended Services’ Agenda. Borne from a desire to work together and share resources and ideas, the initial partnership of schools now includes Children’s Centres and representation from the local community:

As a group we work with a range of local organisations to ensure that we meet 5 key aims, which are:

  • To provide high quality and affordable childcare.

  • To ensure that there is a varied menu of activities for children and young people.

  • To provide swift and easy access to support and services.

  • To provide parenting support and family learning.

  • To ensure wider community access to learning and services.

A NEtWORKS website is currently under construction, a link will be available as soon as it is ready which will signpost users to relevant information/organisations which provide support to young people and the wider community. Also included will be a link to the holiday activities held at Carr manor (and the cluster) during half terms, with all details and online booking options. Keep checking for the link.”
