The Year 8 football team have been in excellent form this season. In reaching the last 64 of the English Schools Cup, where they narrowly lost to Our Lady’s High School from Manchester and getting to the final of the West Yorkshire Cup they have achieved more than any sports team has in the history of Carr Manor High School. They have fought hard every minute of every game and displayed some great skill and teamwork in the process. By the time of this term-times being released they will have played Salendine Nook HS in the West Yorkshire Cup Final at Ossett Albion's ground. They should all be proud of their achievements!

Update: Carr Manor won the final against Salendine Nook High School, 3-2 after extra time. This makes them the West Yorkshire Champions, and they were presented with the cup in the end of term assemblies.Congratulations boys!
