We travelled to the 3rd Local Partnership Round Robin U14’s Basketball at Lawnswood. Only 2 Y9 players attended with Y7 players making up the rest of the team, they were up against strong competition. 

First up were Lawnswood. We looked determined to impress with some early scores and forcing errors, which racked up the scoreboard in the 3rd and 4th quarters. The boys concentrated with their man-to-man defence pattern, guarding well. We then added to the score with a fast break, pass and wide open lay-up. Brimming with confidence, the team worked well and displayed some extraordinary basketball.   Primrose were next up and they punched holes in us during the first quarter. We were down 12-0. We worked hard on an aggressive defence, not to fear the Primrose “Tall Trees” and hounded them into turnovers and difficult shots. The team had lots of energy, giving a very strong team performance. Despite the defeat, all team members put in lots of effort, keep it up!
