BTEC First Diploma– Level 2 (Equivalent to 4 GCSEs A-C) 

The course covers a number of practical units such as Video, Print, Animation and Photography. Core Units include: Research for Media Production/ Induction to Media, Industries/ Introduction to Media Audiences and Products. 

This is a vocational course, enabling pupils to experience different aspects of the media industry and develop skills for that industry. The course is very versatile and enables students to focus on areas of interest to them. Projects in the past have included making a music video or creating animation using clay models. 

Students attend the course from a number of schools in the area, which means students get to make lots of new friends and mix with people from different schools. 

This course is ideal for students either wishing to be creative, or who wish to study media at A Level or BTEC National Level.
