The school offers French in the main curriculum at Key Stage 4.                                                                                      All four skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) are developed and there is a great emphasis on independence and creativity. Pupils are encouraged to collaborate in order to increase their own linguistic                skills and a wide range of Teaching and Learning resources are used.                                                    As well as the languages, the cultures, geography and history of French- speaking countries are included in the curriculum.There is a great deal of flexibility within the topics taught, and lessons are tailored to provide a personalized program to suit the needs of each individual. Assessment Listening and Reading: 50% (At the end of the course) Speaking and Writing: 50% (Controlled assessments throughout the course)  For Speakers of other foreign languages GCSE and AS/A2 exams are available in most home languages (e.g. Polish, Spanish, Dutch, Persian, Arabic, Chinese, Urdu and many more.)
